The Roger Pen, from Phonak, is a wireless transmitting microphone, which enables the user to hear good clarity of speech and sound over distance and in noise.
This device has Bluetooth, to connect and use for your Mobile Phone conversations, and an audio input to connect to your TV, PC,Laptop, MP3 and transmit the sound
to you. It can be used in a variety of settings including school, college and university. In the workplace for meetings, conversation, mobile and land line phone. Also socially for listening to the TV, music, conversation, mobile and land line telephone, out for dinner and travelling in a car.
The Pen has an automatic microphone mode where it will select for you, dependent on its physical position, one of the three microphone settings; interview style - pointing, around
the neck on the lanyard main for a main speaker or conference style with omnidirectional sound pick up. The three microphone settings can be manually selected.
With a single short press of the On/Off button the microphone can be muted regardless of being in automatic or manual mode.
There is an LED that provides a visual indication of what setting the microphone is on, battery level and connection status.
With the use of a telephone adaptor, sold separately, the the Roger Pen can be used for land line telephone use. The callers voice is transmitted to you and you speak back to the caller using the telephone handset.
The Roger technology enables up to ten microphones to be used together. This includes Roger Pens, Roger EasyPensand Roger Clip-on-Mic.
The Pen can be used with any of the personal Roger Receivers. If you wear Phonak hearing aids the choice of receiver or receivers will depend on the model of your hearing aid. If you wear other manufacturers hearing aids you can still use the Roger Pen but the choice of receiver will be dependant on the Make and Model of your hearing aid and limited to the Roger X or MyLink.
The Roger Pen is available in three colours; silver, petrol blue and ruby red.
