BigTel 200 is an amplified cordless portable phone for people with hearing loss. The handset is hearing aid compatible for hearing aids and cochlear implant processors with their telecoil / loop setting activated. The big buttons and bright LCD display make the phone easy to use. There is ringer volume control, adjustable up to 80dB, and a bright call indicator light to attract your attention to an incoming call. You also have a selection of 9 ring tones to choose from. The volume control, on the side of the handset allows you to adjust the callers voice, during the call, up to 30dB without loss of clarity. There is also a volume boost button and an adjustable tone control. If you like to use a phone hands free there is a speakerphone. Caller ID Presentation (or CLIP) is a useful feature that can store the last 30 incoming numbers. The phone book can store up to 50 names with numbers. Above the LCD screen there are two Direct Dial Memory Buttons, M1 and M2, to store your important numbers for quick contact. The screen also displays the date and time. If your short on alarm clocks you can use the handset as an alarm.
The handset is powered by 3 AAA batteries, supplied, and is charged on the Base Station. A fully charged handset provides up to 11 hours of permanent talk time and 100 hours of stand-by time.
If you need more than one handset the phone is DECT-Gap compatible which allows up to four more handsets to be added. With additional handsets you can pick up a call and also transfer it to a person in another room. A typical additional handset is the BigTel 201.
